Sydney Water is renewing sections of water mains along Gladstone Avenue and Kenny Street, Wollongong starting in June.

Sydney Water is renewing sections of water mains along Gladstone Avenue and Kenny Street, Wollongong starting in June.

 

The work involves:

 

  • digging into the footpath and roadway
  • disconnecting the existing water main
  • laying and connecting a new water main.

 

There may be interruption to water supply to local homes and businesses during the work program.  Sydney Water will notify affected homes and businesses prior to the water supply being interrupted.

 

Work hours will generally begin 7am and finish by 6pm on a daily basis with no work planned for Sundays at this stage.  There may be additional night works required and notification will be provided prior to such work taking place.

“The renewal of the water mains is a big job, which has been planned to start in June and be completed by September.

 

“There may be some disruption to water supplies to homes and businesses in Gladstone Avenue and Kenny Street.

 

“Sydney Water will make every effort to keep disruptions to homes and businesses to as few as possible during the period that the works are underway and prior notification of any disruption will be a priority.”
