Member for Wollongong, Paul Scully reckons people in the Wollongong electorate have been good this year and deserve funding for five projects on their Christmas Wish List.

So here’s the Christmas Wish List the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government should deliver to make Wollongong an even better place to live, learn and work:

  1. Get moving on the Wollongong Entertainment Centre upgrade helping create 200 jobs;
  2. Fast track the building of lifts at Unanderra Station;
  3. Refurbish the ghost ward at Wollongong Hospital to help take pressure of the Emergency Department;
  4. Upgrade the Picton Road because thousands of motorists use it, and;
  5. Faster housing maintenance and energy efficiency upgrades for social housing employ local tradies and improve people’s homes.

“The people of Wollongong have worked hard all year, paid their fair share of taxes and waited patiently for good things to happen.

“Unfortunately, our community has been ignored by the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government since the election in March.

“Our Christmas Wish List is modest and nice – not greedy and is based on creating a better future for the region and city.

“We deserve funding for these five projects on Wollongong’s Christmas Wish List”, Mr Scully said.
