I’m committed to supporting and growing local jobs, helping to strengthen and grow our local economy through smart investments in important infrastructure.
The region is fortunate to have a skilled, multilingual workforce, a world-class university, deep water port, supportive business environment all located within an hour of Australia’s global city, Sydney.
We also sit at the edge of the regional growth centres of south-west and western Sydney – home to the third largest economy in the country and more than a million people.
Important domestic and global linkages, through the construction and improvement of new and existing transport infrastructure, as well as the development of education services, recreation and other facilities means that we can establish a strong future for Wollongong and the Illawarra.
As we look to the future we need to build on our past successes and look to new opportunities to invest in Wollongong’s future to help create more jobs near to where people live.
